Present Post: Head of Pathology Department and lecturer of Haematology, Department of Pathology, College of Medicine, University of Duhok, attached as a Haematology specialist to the Department of Haematology, Teaching Laboratories, Azadi teaching hospital, Duhok, Iraq.
Qualifications :

  1. Primary and Secondary schools (1983-1995): (including eight years of English language courses), Graduated from the Brayati secondary school (Duhok, Iraq).




  1. Awarded the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB): by the College of Medicine, University of Duhok , on the 7th of June 2001. Ranked First on my class.




  1. Awarded the Degree of Fellow of Iraqi board for medical specialization in pathology (Hematology) by the faculty of Iraqi board for medical specialization on the 21 November 2009. Ranked First on my class.

Current work:

  1. Lecturer of Haematology at the Department of Pathology, College of Medicine, University of Duhok (Jan 2010 till know), and attached for the same period as a Haematology specialist to the Department of Haematology at the laboratories department of the Azadi Teaching Hospital. The Duties of the latter post are outlined below.

  2. Head of pathology department at college of Medicine/ university of Duhok since September 2014.

  3. Assistant of Director of Scientific research center at college of Medicine/ university of Duhok.


The academic responsibilities include:

  1. Undergraduate lectures (second year physiology of blood, third year pathology- medical students) on general haematology, Clinical and laboratory aspects, coagulation and transfusion medicine, in addition to practical slide sessions on various haematological disorders.

  2. Lecturing in Postgraduate courses for Diploma, MSc and Board students in General Haematology, clinical and laboratory aspects, coagulation and transfusion medicine

  3. Supervision of practical training of Postgraduate medical students at the Department of Haematology at the laboratories of the Azadi teaching hospital


Professional responsibilities include:

Assists in the supervision of the every day blood counts workload, reporting bone marrow aspirates and biopsies, performing and supervising special haematology investigations since Jan 2010.
